| Making networks work | Pilot participatory appraisal training course in west Leeds and Sheffield, with the aims of: re-engaging residents in the regeneration of the area. Enabling a group of residents and workers to act more effectively as catalysts. Building relationships and links within communities, organisations and groups to make regeneration process successful. West Leeds completed 29 June, Sheffield ongoing. |

| Involvement of communities in regeneration/governance agenda | Series of six, one-day 'Introduction to...' sessions covering community development in 06/07. Future topics to include social enterprise, partnership/collaborative working, the planning process, social return on investment, regeneration practice/sustainable communities, local area agreements, rural development/renewal and link to the Modernising Rural Delivery agenda. |
