We have worked with Community Service Volunteers (CSV), schools and young people to develop an active citizenship education teaching resource pack.
The pack is based on the key components which contribute to the creation of sustainable communities, and is designed to enable young people to gain skills and knowledge to contribute to creating sustainable communities.
It has been designed so that they don't simply learn about citizenship but are encouraged to actually explore their communities and identify problems.
The pack has a number of cross-curricular links to other subject areas (mostly geography but also RE, English, art, drama and IT), and gives young people the inspiration and tools to carry out an active citizenship project.
