South East: 5 Town Network Learning Laboratory
The project aims to deliver a collaborative programme of training for councillors, officers and other organisations with a responsibility for the delivery of sustainable communities across the 5 Towns Network area in Coastal West Sussex.
It will explore the process of influencing the existing member and officer training programmes and budgets of the five local authorities, so that after March 2008 a legacy of training and commitment to training is in place.
The package will potentially include a combination of study tours, masterclass sessions and training modules in urban design, sustainable communities and sustainability appraisal.
